Add your Computer to Globus
To download and upload files between the Mahuika supercomputer and your personal computer, you will need to install Globus Connect Personal onto your computer.
- To install Globus on your computer, see:
- During your installation you will be asked to
Log In. Login using your Globus login. This may require you to login to your Tuakiri, Github, Google, or ORCID ID account.
- You will be required to click
Allowto connect your computer to Globus.
- Back in your Globus Connect Personal Setup screen, give a name for your computer
in the
Collection Namefield and click save. This is your computer'sEndpoint
- Your computer will now be saved in Globus as a Globus endpoint. Back in the Globus
website, you will see that your computer's
Endpointhas been added to yourCollections. On theCollectionstab, click theAdministrated By Youbutton to see your computer'sEndpointon Globus.

Add paths and external hard drives to your Globus Collect Personal¶
To add paths (including external hard drives) to your Globus Collect Personal:
- Open your Globus Collect Personal program and click on
Perferences.
- Click on the
Accesstab and click the+button.
- Find the path you want to add to Globus Connect Personal, highlight it, and click
Open.
- You will need to tick the
Writablebox so that you can write files to your folder
